Headquartered in Dresden, Germany our Company was founded in 2002, by a team of experts who recognized the growing need for software solutions in the field of biometrics. Our founders have been working on specific algorithms for the face recognition technology FaceVACS since 1995. Commencing as early as 1996, government and industry customers began relying on the FaceVACS technology for a wide range of applications.

Our technology and products build upon the extensive knowledge of our scientists and software engineers. This continuing dedication aims to deliver the best performance available on the market. We also offer customization of our products for special needs. Technical support for customers is an essential part of our offering. 

In order to be close to our worldwide customers, Cognitec has established sales and support offices in the United States, Brazil, Hong Kong, and Europe.
