Cognitec Presenting at Biometrics 2008
Dresden/London, October 17, 2008. Cognitec Systems GmbH, - a leader in face recognition technology and systems, will be presenting its latest line of products at the Biometrics Exhibition and Conference 2008 to be held in London, England from October 22-23, 2008.
Cognitec’s presentation will include:
- A new version of the Cognitec surveillance software: System used to support person identification through video surveillance cameras uses multiple cameras to identify persons in real time, based on Cognitec’s unique face tracker technology.
- ICAO/ISO photo quality check: the latest version of Cognitec’s software tool allows automated capturing and quality control for ID document photos, following the ISO 19794-5 standard for travel documents.
- Face recognition on a handheld device: Cognitec 1:1 and 1: many facial comparison technology is now available on mobile units enabling users to identify persons independent of network connection.
- Face recognition device with build in quality check acquires facial images, i.e. biometric samples of high quality. This unit consists of a robust fixed housing, a movable carrier for sensor and feedback adjusting itself in height according to the user’s face position in order to deliver the best possible images in a border control verification scenario. It’s height coverage ranges from 1.15 m to 2.05 m and capture distance is 1.0 m to 2.0 m/configurable. Intuitive user feedback and guidance provides a convenient and comfortable self-service experience.
