Cognitec Products Released with New Face Recognition Algorithm
Cognitec Systems, leading provider of face recognition technology, today released two product upgrades with the new face recognition algorithm B6T8. The new versions of FaceVACS-DBScan and FaceVACS-SDK are now available for integrators and end-customers.
While reassuring Cognitec’s industry-leading identification performance for various face recognition benchmarks, the B6T8 engine performs particularly well for low resolution images and images with non-frontal view, i.e., faces turned to the side, up or down. These improvements make the new algorithm highly suitable for processing video input data. The algorithm also shows better performance results for images with systematic noise, e.g. stripes introduced by a defect scanner. Compared to its predecessor, the B6 engine generates a 30% smaller facial template for each image, resulting in 10% faster matching speed and reduced computer memory requirements.
