Role: Technical Consultant (Customer Service)
Reports to Director Customer Service
Location: Boston, MA, USA
The Technical Consultant will use his/her technical and scientific expertise to assist our customers to deploy and use Cognitec’s products. This includes providing email support, responding to requests for technical assistance, on-site installations, product implementations, technical seminars and training of customers. The ability and willingness to travel to customers sites is expected. The Technical Consultant will be afforded the opportunity to become a part of a well-established and collegial team which is looking forward to welcoming him/her as a new member. Ideally, the Technical Consultant possesses some relevant work experience but we also consider applications from recent graduates.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
· Assist our customers with the use of Cognitec's products
· Respond to technical inquiries by email and phone
· Conduct training sessions and technical seminars for customers and prospects
· Test and evaluate new versions of Cognitec's products and give feedback to
Product Management and Software Development
· Support the design and implementation of customer projects using Cognitec’s
products
Desired Skills and Experience
· College degree in IT or similar in-depth knowledge
· The willingness to learn and the ability to quickly familiarize with new work
assignments
· Some knowledge of C and C++ and further programming languages in the field
of .NET will be helpful
· Extensive experience with computer hardware and the administration of
operating systems (Windows XP/2000, Linux)
· Database knowledge (SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
· Experience in image processing
· Familiarity with camera and video equipment
· Ability to work as part of a team
